The project "Generative Artificial Intelligence (GENAI)
connects Transylvanian-Saxon cultural heritage" aims to promote an
ongoing discussion of the practical opportunities and risks that
generative AI brings with it for the acquisition, preservation and further
development of Transylvanian-Saxon cultural heritage. The following questions
are in the foreground:
-
What opportunities and
threats does GENAI bring for the acquisition, preservation and
further development of Transylvanian-Saxon cultural heritage?
-
What tasks and challenges
must the Transylvanian Saxons and their associations tackle so that
Transylvanian-Saxon cultural heritage is acquired, preserved, perceived and
further developed even in times of GENAI?
Many individual actions are
conceivable. However, what is crucial is a systematic and strategic
approach that involves as many Transylvanian-Saxon organizations and
those people who are interested in this cultural heritage as possible in order
to actively (co-)shape the Transylvanian-Saxon cultural
heritage with GENAI in the future.
The Transylvanian Saxons are scattered all over the
world. There are Transylvanian-Saxon associations in Germany, Romania, Austria,
Switzerland, the USA and Canada. In order to reach as many people as possible
who are interested in the Transylvanian-Saxon cultural heritage and to be able
to participate, the results of these projects should be published in
German, English and Romanian.
"Generative Artificial Intelligence (GENKI) connects
Transylvanian-Saxon cultural heritage" is the title for four projects, which
in turn cover several individual subject areas:
- Generative
Artificial Intelligence and Transylvanian Saxon Cultural
Heritage. Opportunities and threats for its appropriation, preservation
and further development
-
Transylvanian Saxons - A Portrait.
Generative artificial intelligence (GENAI) connects Transylvanian-Saxon cultural heritage
-
Digitization of the Transylvanian-Saxon cultural heritage
-
Acquisition of private and public funding
I am always grateful for suggestions, comments and
criticism. The active participation of as many contributors as possible in
these projects is expressly desired:
